Transferring a vehicle between two individuals?

If you’re transferring a vehicle between two individuals, you’ll need to bring:

  1. Pennsylvania Title. The current owner of the vehicle (or owners if the vehicle is co-owned) and the purchaser (or purchasers if the vehicle will be co-owned), will need to be present. Please call our office at 412.884.5800 ahead of time to discuss Power of Attorney and death procedures.
  2. Bill of Sale or Affidavit of Gift (MV13).  Please follow this link to download.
  3. Current Pennsylvania drivers’ license or photo id. You can obtain your identification at any PennDOT service center. Please follow this link to find the closest location.
  4. Current proof of automobile insurance. Bring your current Pennsylvania insurance card. You can fax a copy ahead of time to 412.884.5801 or email it to maggsagency@gmail.com.

Transferring a vehicle between business or a business to and individual?

If you’re transferring a vehicle between businesses, or between a business and an individual, you’ll need to bring:

  1. Pennsylvania Title.The current owner of the vehicle (or owners if the vehicle is co-owned) and the purchaser (or purchasers if the vehicle will be co-owned), will need to be present. Please call our office at 412.884.5800 ahead of time to discuss Power of Attorney and death procedures.
  2. Authorization Letter. An authorization letter is needed for any business that is involved in transferring a title. The letter must be on company letterhead and state that the person who will be appearing to transfer the title has authorization to perform that task.
  3. Bill of Sale.
  4. Current Pennsylvania driver’s license or photo id. You can obtain your identification at any PennDOT service center. Please follow this link to find the closest location.
  5. Current proof of automobile insurance. Bring your current Pennsylvania insurance card. You can fax a copy ahead of time to 412.884.5801 or email it to maggsagency@gmail.com.
